Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans are an alternative way to receive Medicare benefits through private health insurance companies approved by Medicare. Instead of the government paying for Medicare services used under Original Medicare (Parts A and B), Medicare Advantage plans receive payments from the government to provide all covered Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and Medicare Part B (medical insurance) benefits to enrollees. Many Medicare Advantage plans also include prescription drug coverage (Part D) and may offer additional benefits like dental, vision, hearing, and health and wellness programs for a single monthly premium.
