Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement insurance policies, also known as Medigap plans, are private health insurance plans designed to cover some of the out-of-pocket costs not covered by Original Medicare (Parts A and B), such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. These supplemental plans are standardized by the federal government, with plans labeled by different letters (A, B, C, D, etc.), each offering a different combination of benefits. Medicare Supplement plans help fill the “gaps” in Original Medicare coverage, providing additional financial protection and potentially lowering overall out-of-pocket costs for those enrolled in Medicare.
